How to draw a bike with pencil step-by-step drawing tutorial

In today's drawing tutorial, we will learn to draw a bike.

 

 
Step 1. Outline the wheels of the bike.

Start by drawing the 2 circles to denote the wheels of the bike.

 

 

Step 2. Draw additional lines to denote the parts of the bike.

Identify the centers of the wheels. Then draw the connectors between the parts and outline the parts themselves: the seat and the handlebars.

 

 

 

Step 3. Continue drawing the details of the bike.

 

Draw the lines to show the rims of the wheels, the tubes, the chain, and the pedal. We also draw out the basket at the front of the bike.

 

 

 Step 4. Draw the details of the bike's tubes, handle. the rack at the back.

 

Continue to add lines to show the parts of the bike in more detail.

 

 

 Step 5. Adding shades to the bike's drawing.

 

We want our bike to stand out from the paper and look like it has some volume to it. Shading is key to do that. Thus, we need to show the shades on the basket, below the wheels.

 

 

Step 6. Hatching and coloring the bike drawing.

Continue to color and hatch parts of the bike to denote darker and lighter parts.
